This course consists of four lessons. Each lesson includes pages of notes plus video explanation and demonstrations.


  1. Aperture: how to set it and what it does, understanding depth of field.
  2. Shutter speed: know what shutter speed to use in each situation. Use shutter speed for creative effects.
  3. ISO, exposure compensation, metering modes and more. With understanding of these concepts, you really begin to take control and tell your camera what you want.
  4. A summary of the essential tools you need to launch your photography journey: What to look for in a new camera, what lenses to choose, about tripods, polarizing filters and more. Also, discussion of software and post processing, with a demonstration of Adobe Lightroom.
